These trees were made as part of the Hounds of the Baskervilles exhibition in the basement of Madame Tussauds. Due to a lot a access restrictions we had to made a lot of the branches removable, which meant plenty of steelwork and sleeved joints. The trees were polycarved and then coated with jesmonite. Artworking was simple water based layers and dry brushing. The two trees that we made were designed to go around load-bearing columns in the basement of the museum, so the trees are hollow internally, and have a removable panel on the side to allow them to slip round the columns. These trees were made in one week, which was a very quick turnaround.
